Google Data Center in Ohio

Google will build two new data centers in Ohio. Google will invest its data center resources in support of artificial intelligence technology.

Google said it will build data centers in Columbus and Lancaster, Ohio, respectively. Google purchased the site of the data center two years ago and described it as a way to expand the data center in New Albany.

Currently, the construction of the data center has begun, and the exact completion time has not been disclosed. Google explained that it usually takes 18 to 24 months to build a data center.

Google plans to continue to grow the Columbus, Ohio, region into a data center hub in the future. Columbus is considered ideal for data center operations compared to other regions in the United States because of its low power usage fees and low risk of natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes, and tornadoes.

Google plans to improve the innovation of artificial intelligence technology through the new data center, as well as the services of existing tools such as Search, Gmail, and Google Maps.

"It's very unique and special to have three different campuses in one area," a Google official said. "It's a good testament to what a good business place Ohio is for us."
